How to Wipe Your Motorola Phone

Follow these steps to perform a Factory Data Reset on your Motorola phone.

Step 1

On the Home Screen, press Menu.

Step 2

Touch Settings.

Step 3

Touch Privacy.

Step 4

Touch Factory data reset.

Step 5

Touch Reset Phone and then touch Erase Everything.

Step 6

To deactivate your phone, call your carrier and ask them to disassociate the phone from your account.

Some phones give you the option to format the SD card at the same time you revert to factory settings. If you don’t trust the wipe, just take your SD card out of your phone.
