Transaction Policies
how we resolve unsuccessful purchases

Nearly all transactions go smoothly. However, on rare occasions, an issue may arise. We believe in a straightforward resolution process that is fair to everyone. We follow a Shared Responsibility approach, which acknowledges that sometimes things go wrong despite the best efforts of well-intentioned people. We strive for fairness by sharing the responsibility between the buyer and seller. If there is a disputed or unsuccessful transaction, Glyde will waive its transaction fees.

Return Policy

If for some reason, the item is not As-Described, the buyer can elect to return it within 48 hours of receipt.

Let us know. To initiate the return process, the buyer simply:

a) Responds to the Glyde email received upon item delivery, or
b) Rejects the delivered item via the "transactions" page, or
c) Contacts us via service@glyde.com

Return the item. After contacting us, the buyer will receive a pre-addressed, pre-stamped Glyde Mailer. Place the item in the envelope and drop it in the mail to return it.

Pay for return shipping. While the return cost varies depending on actual size and weight, average items will cost each party approximately $2.50.

  • Shares return cost with buyer (~$2.50).
  • Receives returned item. Does not get sale proceeds.
Suspect Item
  • May initiate return within 48 hours of delivery.
  • May be required to send item to Glyde for investigation. All costs refunded.
  • Otherwise, item is returned to seller. Buyer is reimbursed cost of item and pays half of return shipping.
  • If item is found to be illegal, seller forfeits sale proceeds and is charged all costs (shipping and packaging) related to transaction. Account is canceled and authorities are notified.
  • If item is returned to seller, seller pays Mailer Cost, shares return cost with buyer, receives returned item, and does not get sale proceeds.

Loss Policy

The US Postal Service safely delivers nearly all parcels. However, if a Glyde package is lost in transit, the seller and buyer will share the cost of the lost item, and Glyde will waive its fees.

Seller Fails to Send Item / Postal Service Did NOT Confirm Package Was Mailed Is reimbursed purchase price and shipping cost.
  • Does not receive sales proceeds.
  • Pays Mailer Cost ($1.00-$1.75).
Postal Service Confirmed Package was Mailed Splits the cost of lost item with seller (i.e. receives 50% of purchase price back) and pays original shipping cost.
  • Splits cost of lost item with buyer (i.e. receives 50% of sale price).
  • Pays Mailer Cost.

In all other disputed or unsuccessful transactions, Glyde will apply the Shared Responsibility principles of these Transaction Policies to resolve the issue at its discretion.

Excellent Disc plays perfectly. May have minor scratches. Case has no more than a few minor scratches. No personal markings. Not a previous rental.
Good Disc plays perfectly. May have scratches. Case has wear, but no cracks or damage. May be a previous rental. May not be original case or art.
Disc Only Disc plays perfectly. No case. Original copyrighted work. May be a previous rental.
CD New Factory Sealed. Never opened.
Excellent Disc plays perfectly. May have minor scratches. Case has no more than a few minor scratches. Liner notes are undamaged. No personal markings.
Good Disc plays perfectly. May have scratches. Case has wear, but no cracks or damage. Liner notes may have visible wear. May have personal markings.
Disc Only Disc plays perfectly. No case. Original copyrighted work.
Game New Factory Sealed. Never opened.
Excellent Game plays perfectly. May have minor scratches. Case has no more than a few minor scratches. No damage to game instructions. No personal markings. Not a previous rental.
Good Game plays perfectly. May have scratches. Case has wear, but no cracks or damage. Instructions may not be present. May be a former rental without original case or art.
Disc/Cartridge Only Game plays perfectly. No case. Original copyrighted work. May be a former rental.
Book New Perfect condition. Never read.
Excellent Very minimal wear to book or dust jacket. No writing/highlighting/folded pages. May contain a remainder mark. Not a former library book.
Good Visible wear to book and dust jacket. Spine may be worn but not broken. May have limited markings or folded pages. May be a former library book.
Acceptable Considerable wear, but readable. All pages and cover intact. May have writing, highlighting, folded or yellowed pages. Dust jacket may be missing. May be a former library book.
