How to Reset Your Android Password
Forgot your pattern to unlock your Android? Your Android will lock you out after five consecutive wrong attempts. ‘Forgot Pattern’ will now appear at the bottom of the screen. You can either manually reset your phone or use your Google account to create a new code.
Option 1: Using Your Google Account
Step 1Select Forgot Pattern and your Google account should come up.
Step 2Enter your username and password. Once you select Sign In, you can create a new code. Touch Confirm to finish.
Option 2: The Factory Reset
Step 1Open the Applications Tray. This is the arrow pointing up located in the middle at the bottom of the display screen.
Step 2Scroll to Settings.
Step 3Touch Factory data reset.
Step 4Touch Reset Phone.
Step 5Touch Erase Everything.
Option 3: The Manual Reset
Step 1Turn off your phone.
Step 2Press Power key + “x” (on the hardware keyboard) to power on the phone and bring up the recovery screen.
Step 3Press Volume Up + Camera Key to show the recovery menu.
Step 4Select Wipe Data or Factory data reset.
Step 5Select Reboot Phone.
